Message Intake -1-> Turbo -2-> Intercooler -3-> Throttle Body

In the picture Mallce has referenced, the BOVs in the picture are in the hose I'm calling "2" (see above). What Mallce is asking is why not put them at "3".

The APEXi BOVs and the new HKS Sequential BOVs actually are on "3" as far as I know, just lower down closer to the intercoolers, so you can't see them in the engine bay. The Blitz and the old HKS I believe were at location "2".

I too have heard that the closer to the throttle bodies, the better.

: Point in BOVs or recircs is to keep the turbos from being surged with pressure when you close off the throttle bodies... i.e. when you close them off, the air BEHIND the turbo has no where to go, and there is still air coming INTO the turbos... so the BOVs blow off the excess intake pressure coming to the turbos to slow them down slightly so they don't receive a back surge of pressure... I "believe" that is correct... but I didn't engineer the damn things. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

: Later,
